A 2.5 mile paved multipurpose trail goes along the river and passes the old wood and steel trestle bridge. The trail is not shaded from the sun's rays, nor is it lit up at night, so be mindful of that as you visit.

This is a classic Tuscaloosa route. 24 out of 70 miles are the out Sanders. The middle 45 are beautiful rolling terrain with very low traffic. You can get water at mile 28 at the Romulus Fire Station. At mile 42 is the historic Ralph Store that features famous BBQ!
